• JOB TITLE:
• Junior Software Developer
• ORGANIZATION / SYSTEM:

• JOB PURPOSE:
• Support the development, enhancement, maintenance, and technical support of healthcare software products under the guidance of the Senior Software Developer.
• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• New Product Development:
• Participate in requirements gathering and software development processes.
• Develop new features and modules based on approved technical specifications.
• Support system integrations, specifically including HL7 and ASTM medical protocols.
• Write, test, debug, and document maintainable code.
• System Enhancement & Maintenance:
• Maintain and improve existing healthcare software applications.
• Implement approved system enhancements and resolve identified software defects.
• Conduct testing on software changes and resolve issues identified during QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Technical Support & Operations:
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve assigned client support tickets within established SLAs.
• Document support issues, resolutions, and escalate complex technical incidents when required.
• Maintain professional communication with clients regarding technical issue status.
• Team Collaboration & Process Adherence:
• Plan and document assigned development tasks and project progress.
• Actively participate in team meetings and Agile development ceremonies.
• Adhere strictly to institutional coding, documentation, and version control standards.
• Pursue continuous skill development and support scheduled after-hours technical activities as needed.

Required qualifications

• QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENT SKILLS
• EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• WORK EXPERIENCE:
• 0–2 years of relevant software development experience (Entry Level / Junior).
• Exposure to healthcare IT systems is an added advantage.
• TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
• Core Languages & Web: Working knowledge of programming languages (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#), web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, REST APIs, JSON).
• Databases & Systems: Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Linux command line, basic server operations.
• Version Control & QA: Git for version control (branching, pull requests), basic debugging, testing, and code-reading capabilities.
• Behavioral & Professional: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear written/verbal communication, high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, adaptability, and collaborative teamwork.
• ADVANTAGEOUS & DESIRED SKILLS:
• Healthcare Standards: Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, ASTM protocols, medical device integration, or serial communication.
• Infrastructure & Systems: Docker containerization, ERP & CRM platforms, API integration.
• CORE REQUIRED SKILLS:
