About the role
Responsibilities
• Comply with all applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and organizational policies.
• Perform daily data-entry tasks to update and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Assist with bank statement reconciliation and accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, purchase orders, and other financial documents.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
• Help ensure compliance with established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Assist senior accountants with ad hoc accounting projects and other tasks as required.

Required qualifications
- Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, financial records, and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and meet established deadlines.
- Willingness and eagerness to learn and adapt to new tasks, responsibilities, and challenges.
- Previous internship or entry-level experience in accounting or finance is an added advantage.
- Microsoft Office Pack: Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Powerpoint

- Proven experience using accounting software such as Peachtree, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems
