• JOB PURPOSE:
• Prepare, coordinate, and manage technical and commercial tender documents for ELV, ICT, BMS, and smart-building engineering projects.
• Review tender requirements, produce technical proposals, develop BOQs, calculate cost estimations, and execute timely bid submissions.
• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Bid & Requirement Analysis: Analyze public and private sector tender documents, eligibility requirements, and administrative criteria.
• Proposal & Estimation: Prepare comprehensive technical and financial proposals, BOQs, material take-offs, cost estimates, and compliance matrices.
• Engineering Documentation: Draft technical specifications, system descriptions, engineering methodologies, and project implementation plans.
• Vendor Coordination: Engage with suppliers and international manufacturers for product datasheets, quotations, and authorization documents.
• Team Collaboration & Risk Management: Coordinate across Engineering, Sales, Procurement, and Finance teams; identify technical/commercial risks; support pre-bid meetings and client clarifications.
• Database Management: Maintain organized logs of tender opportunities, quotations, submitted bids, and project references.

Required qualifications

• QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
• EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in ELV engineering, system integration, technical proposal preparation, or tender management.
• Proven track record preparing technical and financial bidding documents.
• Practical experience in BOQ preparation, material estimation, and project cost calculation.
• Familiarity with Ethiopian public procurement procedures and private-sector bidding processes.
• Experience working with international ELV manufacturers and suppliers is an added advantage.
• TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
• Practical proposal preparation experience in CCTV & Video Surveillance, Access Control & Time Attendance, and Fire Alarm & Detection Systems.
• BMS, Structured Cabling & Network Infrastructure, Public Address & Voice Evacuation, and Video Intercom Systems.
• Data Center/Server Room Infrastructure, Smart Home/Intelligent Building Automation, and UPS/PDU/Server Racks.
• SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
• Excellent technical report and proposal writing skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and BOQs.
• Knowledge of IEC, ISO, EN, and NFPA standards.
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, KNX, and building automation protocols (advantage).
